Work made within Konstfack and Index contemporary art foundation course ”Art & Distribution”. I was inspired by how food becomes a display of lifestyle. My researched began viewing still life paintings from the Dutch golden age, showcasing an excess of exotic and expensive produce that was rare in Europe at the time, often gathered from the colonial areas of The Netherlands. 

Social media has changed the way we look at dishes, favouring aesthetically beautiful food such as sushi for instagram photos. I thought of a concept where the still life/instagram food photo can be displayed on the go, in custom made food display purses.
